The roads of Addis Ababa can be categorized under three points. Off beam design, potholes and incomplete construction. These are what are plaguing pedestrians and drivers alike for years. It is a common trend for drivers to find alternative routes to and from their destinations to avoid annoying traffic jams. This meant that side streets and back streets were being used by more traffic than normal, causing jams and frustration. However, the latest move of demolishing roundabouts and replacing them with intersections seems to have hit the bull’s eye.
