Former foreign minister of Ethiopia, Seyoum Mesfin and two other senior TPLF officials were killed, the Ethiopian defense forces said in its latest announcement released this evening.
The two other TPLF top leadership that were said to have been killed are Abay Tsehaye and Asmelash Woldeselassie.
The former foreign minister, Seyoum Mesfin, was said to have led the war and passed order against the mobility of the defense forces. The Ministry also pointed out that Seyoum ordered the attack on the defense forces.
Asmelash Woldeselassie was a member of the executive committee of the TPLF.
Abay Tsehaye was also a top TPLF political leader.
The Defense Ministry also indicated that Colonel Kiros Hagos, a former member of the defense forces who later joined the Tigray Special forces, has also been killed.
It was further revealed that five military and regional leaders were apprehended.
These include: colonel Gebremeskel Gebrekidan, Colonel Fisseha Birhane, Colonel Zereabrook Tadesse, Commander Gebrekidan Asgedom and Mebrahtom Kinde.
The Ministry also called on others that have taken refuge in caves to give themselves up peacefully.
