    EPL set to continue per schedule


    The Ethiopian Premier League (EPL) will resume according to schedule following the cancellation of the World Cup qualifiers.

    In the wake of the current State of Emergency in Ethiopia, there have been questions about the future of the league.

    Speaking to The Reporter, manager of the league, Kifle Seifu said he has not received any instructions from the relevant body. He also said that the Premier League will continue in Hawassa as per the previous schedule.

    It can be recalled that the EPL, which was held at Hawassa University Stadium, was suspended until November 15, 2021, due to the World Cup qualifiers.

    On the other hand, the national team headed to South Africa to face Ghana, where they shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw in their qualifiers.
