Accordingly, officials whose appointment has been endorsed are Kebede Chanie who will serve as minister of federal and pastoralist affairs while Tilaye Gete has been given the education portfolio.

The third appointee is Moges Balcha, who would replace Kebede Chanaie as director general of the Ethiopian Revenue and Customs Authority (ERCA) with a ministerial portfolio. Over the past two years, Moges has served as deputy director general of ERCA responsible for customs .

The newly appointed minister of education has served in the same ministry in the capacity of state minister for the past two years. He used also to be president of Debre Markos University as well as head of the Amhara Region Education Bureau.
