The Ethiopian Sports Academy is hosting the 2023 Ethiopian Short, Medium, 3000m, Steeplechase, and Field Events Championship. The competition, which runs from March 22 to 27, aims to give athletes a chance to compete and provide local, regional, organizational, and institution clubs with a venue to evaluate the standing and abilities of athletes.
Over 595,000 birr have been set aside for the event, according to the Ethiopian Athletics Federation (EAF).
677 athletes, including 398 men and 288 women, from 19 clubs and institutions are anticipated to compete. A number of young athletes are also expected to participate.
Top athletes will be selected to compete in international competitions.
