A delegation of regional governments, led by Adam Farah, deputy president of the Prosperity Party, has arrived in Mekelle as part of efforts to rebuild relations with the newly formed Tigray Interim Administration.
It is a step that comes only days after Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) stated that presidents from all regions will travel to Tigray for a ceremony to honor individuals and authorities who have contributed to the restoration of peace in North Ethiopia.
Today, Getachew Reda, president of Tigray’s interim administration, welcomed the presidents at Alula Aba Nega Airport. Regional authorities stated that the trip was made to show solidarity with the Tigray region and to contribute to the reconstruction effort.
