Addis delivers headquarters for a global educational union

The union of countries working in education, the Organization of Educational Cooperation (OEC), opened its headquarters in Addis Ababa.

Situated in the neighbourhood of Mekanisa, Addis Ababa, the new headquarters of the Cooperation was inaugurated last Thursday, May 18, 2023. The organization also received six hectares of land to establish itself in the city.

In presence of the headquarters inauguration were also top officials including former Prime Minister of Ethiopia Hailemariam Desalegn, current President of Comoros and current chairperson of the African Union, Azali Assoumani, as well as Secretary General of OEC Manssour Bin Mussallam.

With the union of countries from several regions in the globe such as Latin, Caribbean, Africa, Asia and Middle Eastern, OEC was founded with the aim of creating cooperation and solidarity among the countries with regards to education.
