OPDO leadership change

The Central Committee of the Oromo People’s Democratic Organization, which congregated in Adama town, the capital city of the Oromia Regional State, carried out deep reform programs during the past few days.

Following the reform process, Muktar Kedir, Chairman of the Organization, and Aster Mamo, Deputy Chairwoman of the Organization, were removed from their posts.

Hence, the Committee elected Lemma Megersa as Chairperson and Dr Workneh Gebeyehu as Deputy Chairperson of the Organization.

The Oromo People’s Democratic Organization is a member of the running coalition – the Ethiopian People’s Revolutionary Democratic Front.
