Ethiopia’s women’s national team, nicknamed “Lucy’s,” routed Chad 6-0 in their first match of the Olympic qualifying tournament today at the Abebe Bikila Stadium.
Lucy’s scored three early goals and never relented, tacking on three more to extend their dominant performance against a overmatched Chad side.
The total-goals series between Ethiopia and Chad will continue this coming Sunday at the Abebe Bikila Stadium, with the winner advancing to the final qualifying round in March 2024.
