Tanzania talks end, no deal

Negotiations between the federal government and the OLF-Shane (self-acclaimed Oromo Liberation Army) have ended with no terms reached between the parties.

The Ethiopian Government Communication Service stated the talks in Tanzania had concluded “without any fruitful agreement.”

The talks had been ongoing behind closed doors in Dar es Salaam for the past two weeks.

The first round of negotiations between the two parties ended similarly in April 2023 (also in Tanzania).
