Central Bank approves board director for Dashen Bank

The National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE) has approved Dula Mekonen as board director of Dashen Bank SC, for the next three years. Dula is re-elected by Dashen’s new board during the bank’s 30th assembly.

Dashen’s assembly convened at the Sheraton hotel on February 15, 2024, re-electing Dula as its board director.

Dula is currently serving as deputy CEO for mining division at the Midroc Investment Group. Dula has his first degree in electrical engineering from Adama Science and Technology University, and his masters degree in Business Administration from the same University. Dula has also diploma in agricultural engineering.

 Dula has also served at management levels at Wonji, Metehara and Fincha sugar factories, in the past 24 years. He also worked at the Limu Coffee Development Plc, as well as CEO of Ethio Leather Industry Plc and Horizon Plantations Plc, all under the wing of Midroc.
