Defense Minister Siraj Fegessa announced in a media briefing in his office that the detailed implementation directive for the state of emergency will be announced soon.
Siraj also stated that the declaration of the state of emergency was needed as it became difficult to arrest the growing protests and loss of lives in the country through the regular law enforcement mechanisms.
A command post led by the prime minister has been established to oversee the implementation of the state of emergency comprising different security establishments including the federal police.
