Saladin rejects Walias call

Ethiopian National Team forward Saladin Said has rejected the call to join the Walias after coach Yohannes Sahale announced his 23-man squad, which included Saladin, ahead of the upcoming fixture against Algeria for the African Cup of Nations qualifiers.

Former Wadi Degla, Al Ahly, MC Alger and current Saint George striker declared that he is not psychologically and physically ready to play against Algeria and that he has not been training for the past last two months. Saladin last played for the Walias in June last year against Lesotho in which he scored the winning goal in the second half.

The 27-year-old Saladin joined local giants St. George after terminating his contract with Algerian side, MC Alger in January.
