Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) appoints Yinager Dessie (PhD) to govern the National Bank of Ethiopia while Bekalu Zeleke was appointed to serve as vice governor and Chief Economist of the Central Bank.
Yinager has been the commissioner of the National Planning Commission while Bekalu has been serving as president of the Commercial Bank of Ethiopia.
New appointees are expected fill the vacant posts the two left.
