Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) has traveled to Abu Dhabi, UAE for a tripartite summit with President of Eritrea, Isaias Afewerki, and UAE Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed.
According to the PM’s Chief of Staff, Fitsum Arega, the leaders are expected to discuss “regional issues and create ways of strengthening investment and commercial ties.”
Before flying off to Abu Dhabi, Isaias was in Saudi Arabia meeting “King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud at the Royal Palace in Jeddah for a broad exchange of views on bilateral and regional issues of mutual importance,” according to Yemane Gebremeskel, the Eritrean Information Minister.
