US embassy announces DV program putting concerns to rest

Putting aside the concerns that surrounded the DV lottery, the US embassy announced today that DV-2019 registration will be opened Tuesday October 3, 2017. Because of the Trump Administration’s stance on immigration and immigrants, people were concerned that there will never be a DV program anymore.

According to a presser that the US embassy in Addis Ababa sent to The Reporter, the registration will be opened Noon Eastern Daylight Time on Tuesday October 3, 2017 and will be closed Noon Eastern Standard Time on Tuesday November 7, 2017.

President Donald J. Trump has been openly condemning immigration and immigrants since his candidacy and he swore to deport migrants at any cost.

Because of his stance on this, the president has been criticized both by his local countrymen and other leaders worldwide.
