Ethiopia Coffee unsettled midfielder Gatoch Panom has landed a five-day trials stint with Russian top league side Anzhi Makhachkala.

David Besha, Gatoch’s agent told soka25east.com that the midfielder will depart Addis Ababa for Russia on Tuesday.

David added that his client will undergo medical on Wednesday before joining the senior side’s pre-season training.

“He will stay there until Sunday before we begin talks about his future with the club’s officials,” David said.

Anzhi Makhachkla, based in Dagestan State, has been home to top stars like multiple African Player of the Year Samuel Eto’o of Cameroon, former Brazilian full back Roberto Carlos and Democratic Republic of Congo’s Christopher Samba.

Gatoch’s future at Ethiopia Coffee has been doubtful. In April, he extended his stay at the former Ethiopian Premier League champions by three months till June after lengthy protracted negotiations.

He played 90 minutes as Walias lost 5-0 to Ghana in the 2019 African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifying Group F match played at the Baba Yara Stadium, Kumasi Sunday. (soka25east.com)
