Eshi Express Partners has partnered with Besh Gebeya to help customer’s shop online helping in the #StayHome challenge that is becoming the norm in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic. It is also to be a strategy to keep employees working and avoid the layoffs that have become the norm with many companies.
The partnership is to promote contactless customer service experiences with an online payment option and embrace a digitized system.
“Eshi Express will ensure all Corona safety measures like equipping our messengers with gloves, sanitizers and masks with enough training and daily updates for smooth and healthy delivery,” the two-year old local courier company said in a statement.
Besh Gebya Supermarkets, with three locations, including in Mexico Square and CMC areas is known to sell quality products at competitive and often discounted rates.
Eshi Express recently signed a pact with the East African Trading House PLC, a wholesale company under East African Holdings SC, to offer similar deals to its growing customers. The deal helps the latter to expand and complement its services. The East African Trading House PLC is known to have the largest distribution centers all across Ethiopia.
While Ethiopia is new to the services of courier services, Eshi Express is to be an alternative to international couriers such as DHL Express, who have been struggling to serve other cities, other than the capital until now.
The company was founded in 2018 by Tigabu Haile, who was once the head of Secretariat of Ethiopian Charities and Societies Agency, at a paid up capital of 1. 4 million Birr with the intention of taking its services globally.
