Business community to discuss with NBE
The business community that has raised concerns regarding access to finance and other related issues while discussing with Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed (PhD) a while back is set to discuss its concerns with officials from the National Bank of Ethiopia (NBE).
It is to be recalled that the PM directed the NBE and the Ministry of Finance and Economic Cooperation (MOFEC) to reply to the demands of the business community. Even though the deadline set for the discussion has passed, the discussion is set to be held on July 19, 2018.
In addition to officials from the NBE, officials from commercial banks in the country will be part of the discussion as the business community’s concerns include access to finance from these institutions.
Previously, the Ethiopian Revenues and Customs Authority had held discussion with the business community regarding their concerns on tax related issues. But, the City Government of Addis Ababa has not yet discussed with the business community regarding concerns relating to land provision and administration.
