Furniture expo returns to Millennium Hall

With Ethiopia becoming increasingly dependent on the importation of furniture products from abroad, the Furniture and Interior Expo (FINTEX) returns to the Millennium Hall on May 2, 2019. The three-day event is set to welcome international industry players to the capital.

Organized by Prana Eventa and Shak_Crux Trade and Event Management, the event is to highlight furniture, interior and finishing solutions and technologies. It is intended to complement the booming construction taking place within the country and the growing middle class that is looking for the best craftsmanship from abroad as well as locally. According to the organizers, more than 5000 trade visitors are expected to converge at the event.

Supported by the Ethiopian Furniture Manufacturers Industry Association, as well as the Africa Trade Fair Partners, MAK design and Brand ET; the event will host networking events, workshops and introduce new products not yet known within the local market. 

In addition, the expo will feature dedicated one to one business matchmaking sessions, various conferences and discussion forums for stakeholders operating in the field to add value for the sectors development.

The organizers estimate the local spending power for such products have reached ETB 10 billion, becoming the 2nd largest market of furniture within the African continent.

Some of the exhibitors in addition to Ethiopia are from China, Egypt, Germany, Kenya and Pakistan.
