Dashen Bank S.C has opened its newly designed branch office, named after Ethio-Saudi business tycoon, Sheikh Mohammed Al Amoudi, who is now believed to live in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia after being released from prison having spent a year and half behind bars in connection to corruption charges in Saudi Arabia. Unlike other branches, this one is designed with dedicated windows for elderly, physically disabled, foreign investors, interest- free banking users, corporate customers as well as Small & Medium Enterprises. The new branch was officially opened by Mayor Takele Uma (Eng), who appreciated the Bank for playing a pioneering role in the introduction of the many new banking products including the launching of the first ATM services in Ethiopia. Furthermore, the Bank has donated more than one million birr to Federal Police Commission and a local NGO called Enat Weg. Being in the Banking industry for more than two decades, Dashen is one of the two largest banks in Ethiopia registering a gross profit of 1.3 billion birr in the just ended fiscal year.
