The transformed tiger
As China is celebrating its 40th anniversary of economic reform and open up policy, it is trying to forge a strong trade and investment partnership with the rest of the world through the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI). Through the BRI China is retracing the ancient Silk Road to form a new economic integration with Europe, Asia and African countries. The reform that began in 1978 has transformed the Chinese economy. The East Asian economic power is now building a digital economy. It also offers many historical and cultural sites for visitors in its provinces. Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province and Jining Shandong Province are known for their industrial zones and historical and cultural heritages.
