    Amhara region to demand refund for war expenses

    The Amhara region of Ethiopia is expected to ask the Federal Government to cover the cost of war in parts of the region, which were under the control of the Tigray People’s Liberation Front’s (TPLF) forces. Due to its geographic location, adjacent to Tigray region, the Amhara region claimed that the war has cost it in billions of birr.

    The Ministry of Industry (MoI) says machineries looted from factories in Kombolcha and Dessie were transported by vehicles displaying UN-plates.

    Oromia temporarily lifts curfew, detainees remain behind bars

    Several people have been detained in Oromia regional state following a curfew the region introduced on November 12, 2021 and retracted six days later on November 18, 2021. The regional state administration introduced the curfew as part of the nationwide State of Emergency (SOE) passed to protect the nation’s sovereignty from internal and external elements.

    Ministry reveals atrocities committed by TPLF

    A criminal investigation conducted by Federal Prosecutors and Police, in collaboration with Amhara and Afar regional state authorities, revealed a heinous crimes report committed by forces of the Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF) during their invasion into these regions.

    Enat calls on government to free areas from TPLF control

    Enat Party called on the Federal Government to free some South and North Wollo areas that are under the control of the Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF) forces.
