Draft proclamation liberates electoral board

A new proclamation, which provides for the establishment of National Electoral Board Ethiopia (NEBE), tabled before the House of People’s Representatives (HPR) on Wednesday, is to end the excessive interference of the Government of Ethiopia (GoE) on the electoral body of the nation, The Reporter has learnt.

DBE president tenders resignation

President of the Development Bank of Ethiopia (DBE), the policy bank of Ethiopia, Getahun Nana, has tendered his resignation following a tense board meeting held this week, The Reporter learnt. He submitted his resignation to the Office of the Prime Minister.
