Plan international targets gender equality

Plan International Ethiopia is set to collaborate with Girls Get Equal (GGE), the world’s biggest global campaign,demanding power, freedom and representation for young girls and women. The new campaign is to complement an international effort of Plan International, calling for gender equality and the feminist agenda.

BSR launches “HER project”

Efforts Launched as women entering fields of science dwindels

With small and dwindling statistics on Ethiopian women entering fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics a.k.a. STEM fields; the annual ‘Ethiopian Challenge Girls Making app’ has been launched in an effort to appease the next generation of girls that choose to enter the male-dominated fields in the capital.

New foundation to advocate for women, girls rights

At the second annual conference on improving the quality of higher education, which was held at Capital Hotel on Thursday, former Ethiopian Minister of Education, Genet Zewdie (PhD), announced the launch of a new foundation to advocate for the rights of women and girls in Ethiopia.
